GATIS was incorporated in the year 2004 on the 12th May. After formation, it was mainly involved in the transportation and trade business mainly in the Republic of Democratic of Congo and South Africa. During Its early operations it was supplying food stuff and commodities to the mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and hardware like big bags to various mines and in return transport copper ore and processed cathodes from DRC to RSA and Zambia.
The mining industry has historically had a negative impact on the environment. However, with advances in technology and a greater focus on sustainability, there are now ways that GATIS uses to mine minerals and metals in a more responsible way.
Mining companies like GATIS are increasingly using data analytics to optimize their operations and improve decision-making. This includes the use of sensors and IoT devices to collect data on everything from equipment performance to environmental conditions.
